Christmas decoration part 3 : all around decoration

In order to make this Christmas become more into the Christian, we decide to attach some sentence from bible along with the decoration.

After many time of effort trying to make the end point of garland curl, we determine to gave them bone, so the can curl in the way we want,

These wreaths was inspire by mommity website. We recycle the trow away color paper to made them.

My coworker built this cardboard Christmas tree while I in charge of another part of decoration. They say they follow the instruction they found on internet, but I cannot find the source.

And Santa Claus is stuck in the fireplace, hahaha

Christmas decoration part 2 - Nativity tree

Last year, I saw the picture of this nativity tree and I really want to try decorate our office's tree in to something similar to it.

Luckily our new staff agree to help me build this tree. Let's see how I built it.

First, sculpt the baby, I cut cuboid foam I found in storage room in to doll shape. And use permanent pen to draw smiling face.

Second, prepare the bed for baby, I cut the cardboard in to the box shape and glue together. The lay fake hay at the bottom.

Third, with the bigger cuboid foam, sculpt them in to man and woman. Ten dress them up with some color paper or fabric.

Forth, with smaller cuboids, sculpt them in to the villagers with the same way we do with the previous three.

Fifth, but cardboard in make villagers's house. Used brown paper to built the road path along lower haft of the tree.
Then prepare the animals that will stand around.

For sheep, I used cotton ball and cut paper to head shape to form into the sheep.

Arranging all the stuff into the place that you want them to be.
I forgot to took picture while we were building the cottage.

Upper path of the tree, I decorated with the paper angels I made.

Paper Angels for Christmas decoration part 1

Christmas is coming!! This year also my work place still holding Christmas decoration competition ! And the most exciting things is my department just got 2 new recruits, and those 2 are really into the competition. So we decide to take the challenge!

Today I gonna share how I make little angel for tree decoration.

Because the silver paper is really thin, so I fold them together with normal 700 grams white paper. In the picture I cut paper into size of A6.

Then fold the paper to cone shape.

I use a straper to hold the shape but you can glue them together. And press the upper part (above my thumb).

Draw a circle for angel's head and cut it out.

Fold the paper to make angel's wing and attach every parts togethet.

I add more color paper and try to make wing look differently with layer color.

I made all 5 angels for this year Christmas tree. Fast and easy.

Moreover look good when they hang on the tree.

Christmas Decoration in my office

First I have to say, this is my first time for Christmas decoration! Base on my religion which is Buddhism, I never have to decorate anything Christmas before. In my perspective Christmas is like one day for celebrate about 'Giving' which I not sure about it at all.

So, every year for me Christmas is like a day for going out to some mall and take a picture with some mascot and Christmas tree, and have an event to exchange gift with friends. Some year we even combine Christmas and New year celebration together, LOL

OK, let's back to our topic. Due to my working place; the Bangkok Christian Hospital, which the name is already said that it is Christian based hospital, have a little event for employee to decorate our department into Christmas theme. Moreover superintendence also prepare some prices for the most beautiful department, wow!

But unfortunately that our department only have 2 girls, so we decide to decorate our office after work by ourselves. A little lucky that our CIO gave us a little budget for buying a Christmas tree ( In the first place, we think we have to craft it up). Some of the idea is from Pinterest, let's see how our office turn into:

We cut some paper into snowflakes and hanging them beside the wall.

As you can see, we used our old CD to make a Christmas tree on the front door. (It reflect me LOL) And if you look through the glass doll, you can see some mobile hanging all over. There are a lot of little Christmas trees, and little angels all over, which my boss said "they look mess"

My little Christmas tree made from recycle paper and disposal post-it paper.

There is a recycle paper Christmas tree, crafted by me and my co-worker. Decorating with yellow yarn chain and chestnut around the tree.

And group of reindeer made by me, I don't have any instruction, I just craft them up. So they all look different. :)

Paper Mache snowman made by my co-worker, he look cooler when he wear sunglasses.

And some picture from my co-worker's camera. You can see a white paper fireplace made by me near the Christmas tree.

At the last, we didn't won any price, but I think it was a great Christmas period. So fun  to decorate everything up. Next year, we think of using the cardboard and use the nativity theme.

Thank for reading, hope you guy have a good year in 2015.
